Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales
Ultra has had a long-standing relationship with the Pirates franchise. Several years ago, we created a half-scale replica of the Black Pearl pirate ship for past film appearances. This super cool replica was brought to life again, but this time the Black Pearl was seen shipwrecked on the beach in Santa Monica with an interactive pirate village surrounding it!
For an exclusive one day only experience, influencers and press descended on the beach to channel their inner pirate and participate in challenges. The pirate obstacle course tested their pirate skills, knowledge and agility. With adventures such as a sword play demo area with Johnny Depp & Keira Knightley’s stunt doubles, to a race against the clock to load a cannon, raise the Jolly Roger flag, solve a pirate puzzle and discover buried treasure – It was a fantastic day!
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End
The Black Pearl’s North American Tour commenced with its maiden voyage to Comic-Con International in 2007. This undisputed jewel at Comic-Con was a half scale replica of the original, weighing in at a staggering 16,000 pounds! The replica was shipwrecked on a rock system that enabled fans to walk through a Pirates museum. The experience consisted of unit photography by Jerry Bruckheimer, costumes and props worn by the cast and merchandise available for purchase. The cave was complete with live palms, shrubs, and a sand floor where Pirates fans could see all the amazing work put into this remarkable franchise. After Comic-Con, the ship was on the road for over a year’s time, as it went on a four-market tour to Los Angeles, Toronto, New York and Las Vegas. Ultra handled all logistics and every aspect of the Black Pearl tour.
