Ultra Productions is a creative think-tank that specializes in awareness building through experiential installations and amazing stunts to a  multitude of entertainment entities.

In the late 90’s, while working in the music business for labels such as Virgin and Maverick Records, Maximillian Castillo saw the need for a new way of thinking about promotions in the entertainment industry. After leading grassroots promotional efforts for artists including U2, Barbra Streisand, Depeche Mode, Prodigy, Erasure and System of a Down he soon became recognized for his uniquely creative angle and ability to always think beyond the norm. Maximillian’s growing reputation encouraged him to bring his expertise to the film world.

In the past 18 years, Ultra Productions has been the mastermind behind some of the most buzzed about promotional events in the film business. They first gained notoriety in 2004 while executing a creative publicity stunt for New Line Cinema’s Harold & Kumar Go To White Castle. Maximillian and his think-tank of producers created a fully functioning White Castle hamburger restaurant on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles. For two weeks, everyone from Quentin Tarantino to Jay Leno stopped by to eat a burger and see the first ever White Castle location on the West Coast. Fifty thousand burgers later, a new star on the event scene was born.

Since 2003, Ultra Productions has been the talk of Comic-Con International, and has gone on to produce some of the most creative installations in the history of the Convention. Ultra was the first company to ever produce a stunt outside the walls of the Convention Center and continue to wow dedicated fans with Hall H panels, exclusive parties and one-of-a-kind Comic-Con experiences.

Coming into 2015, Ultra Productions is known as the creative go-to agency; highly adept at implementing a vast array of creative methods, such as: stunts, national tours, set builds for interactive environments, premieres, premiere stunts, creative screenings, art installations, museums/galleries, and parties. And as usual, are always looking forward to a new and unique Comic-Con experience each year. Currently, Ultra has the distinct pleasure and honor to work with a multitude of film studios and networks, including Sony Pictures, Walt Disney Pictures, Marvel Entertainment, Pixar, 20th Century Fox, Warner Bros., Paramount Pictures, Universal Pictures, Dreamworks, Lionsgate, MGM, Focus Features, Fox Searchlight, WWE, and NBC. These leading companies in the entertainment world continue look to Ultra Productions to brainstorm and execute fun and creative ways promote their film and television campaigns.
